Spoilers about Asch when he was 10 and some more here and there.XD

When the screaming fades the surroundings became TOO quiet, "Saphir-san...?" he whispers.

'... Did that scare you? I'm sorry,' Dist apologizes and Guy was silent, 'The project was a success, but we can't go home yet.'

A project? His sensei's experimenting on children? And why can't they go home YET? He badly wanted to be anywhere but in that castle, "Will you tell me what's this project you're into?" Guy really didn't want to know, cause whatever it is, he's sure it's not going to be good.

Since when did Dist did something 'good' anyways? The only time he did was when he saved Guy...

'Replication Project. We just replicated a boy, you don't have to worry much,' with that, he heard his student gave a sigh of relief, 'What? You thought it's something horrible?' Dist knew the boy knows about replication very well...

"N-no, I trust that you'd never do something so evil," he lied and he heard Dist snorts in the other line, "And that replication thing... uhmm... It's the one you usually talk about, right? The theory Jade-san made?" how can Guy forget? Dist would talk endlessly about the man he deeply admires, even Guy began to think that this 'Jade' is such a great person.

He heard his sensei gave a choking sound when he mentioned the name, 'Y-yeah, him,' Guy had to laugh at that and he starts to tease, "Jade-san made the theory and Dist-san made it possible. You're now the mother and he's the father of replication!" he happily pointed out.

He didn't got a reply from his sensei afterwards...

Once the Rokujinshou Superior left (with the said replica), Guy enters the 'laboratory' when Dist called for him. He was able to meet his sensei's fellow Rokujinshou 'Largo the Black Lion' who was also just about to leave at that time.

"You have scary workmates, huh?" Guy told Dist and he giggled as Largo playfully ruffles his hair.

The white haired Rokujinshou can't help but notice the kind look Largo's giving his Gaillardia, "I guess that your daughter was... blonde as well?" he whispers to Largo as he went to the older man's side.

He just gave a nod, "I'd best be going. Don't forget his Excellency's orders," he reminded Dist. He looks down on Guy and gently pats him on the shoulders, "See ya again, princess" the boy's blue eyes widens in surprise as Largo headed for the exit.

"P-princess!?" Guy shrieked.

Dist had to stifle a laugh, "He really does think you're pretty, Gaillardia," he pointed out and his student pouts.

He was about to reach for Guy's head to pat it, but the boy slaps it away, "Don't you dare try to pat me again, cause I'm nearly as tall as you now," he glared, "I remember a cousin mentioning I'm no different from a girl because I cry a lot, it doesn't mean I look like one as well!" Guy turns away from Dist as he puts his attention on the fon machines in the area.

Dist just smiles as Guy mentioned something from his past and didn't burst into tears like he used to... It seems he's getting better.

"So, what else are we supposed to do here?" without looking back he asks, hoping that it's just cleaning up the area or the likes for he's sure he might find scattered useful fon machine pieces for his sword.

"We're supposed to take care of the original."

Tough luck, 'Saphir-san's already a pain to take care of, and now they're making US baby-sitters...' Guy thought--

-- Or rather just HIM.

He later found himself alone bringing food to a cell. Inside was a sleeping red-haired boy, "Hmm, the fomicry was probably draining. This kid's sleeping so soundly..." he curiously stared. The redheads worn out state reminded him of himself when Dist saved him...

Should he do the same? Save this boy from the pain of more experiments? But if he does-- Dist will surely get in trouble, 'But did Saphir-san got in trouble when he saved me...?' it's been years since that happened. Why did he just thought of it now?

"Please, let me go..."

Before Guy was able to close the cell, he heard the boy spoke, "I'm sorry... I can't do that..." he apologizes. The boy slowly sits up and just stared at the food Guy brought him, "You must be hungry from what happened today, so I made that for you," he gave the redhead a faint smile, but the boy didn't make a reaction, "All I could do is keep you company..."

"Your name is...?" the boy asks as Guy locks the cell.

Guy's smile widens, "Guy, and you are...?"

Dull green eyes stared at the blonde before he replies, "Luke."

Guy was thankful the boy was being cooperative. It seems they won't be bored for the time being. Dist has just left him with the original while he happily works on more of the fontech machines, Guy insisted earlier that he wanted to work and inspect those too, but his sensei forbid him to learn anything related to replication.

So he was left with the baby-sitting...

~

A few days have passed and Guy was still taking care of Luke. He's learned a few things about how the boy got there-- the one who took him away from his home was his own sword master-- the Rokujinshou Superior, Van Grants.

Really, Guy never liked the man even if he never met him. Dist didn't like the man that much as well and his name... his name is like his deceased best friends' name...

"Luke?" it was time. He couldn't bear to watch this boy suffer anymore. The younger boy inside the cell looks up at Guy, "Yes?"

It was morning and Dist was asleep, since Guy always wakes up earlier than his sensei, this is his chance. He slowly opens the cell's lock, much to the redheads surprise, "G-Guy... but I thought..."

"Shh," yes, he's betraying his sensei's trust on him, "I couldn't forget what happened to me in my past... Luke, I'm letting you go..." Guy whispers as he hands the boy a random sword he was able to pick up around the castle a few days ago. "I'd rather keep this sword, but I think you'll need it more than I do," he gives the redhead a nervous smile, "You know how to use it?"

The boy unsurely nods. He was still surprised that the blonde was letting him go at last, "Won't they get mad at you for this...?" he worriedly asks. Guy just shook his head and hurriedly led the younger boy out of his cell and onto a shortcut to the exit.

"I'll be fine," he winks at the boy, "Take good care of yourself, okay?" without giving the boy a chance to answer he closes the doors. He was still able to hear the boy's, 'Thank you' from the other side and he gave out a deep sigh.

He somehow felt happy to be able to save Luke, but he'll have to face his Saphir-san's wrath once the man wakes up and finds out that Guy just let their prisoner go. He won't have any excuses for what he's done...

But did he really save Luke? Or did he just made things go how 'Van Grants' wanted it?
